Porcelain
Veneers
An excellent alternative to crowns, veneers
can perfect your smile by masking stains,
hiding chips, correcting misalignment, and
creating uniformity. Porcelain veneers,
which are made of thin, customized material
designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly
natural, are long lasting and relatively
easy to apply. Please contact us today to
find out more about our porcelain veneers.
Teeth
Whitening
Many of us feel that our smiles are most
striking when our teeth look especially
white, but unfortunately, soft drinks, coffee,
tea, and tobacco can leave behind ugly stains.
To help you restore your bright white smile,
and to give you an added boost of confidence,
we offer many options, such as in-office
bleaching. Please contact us today to find
out more about these options and which one
is best for you.
Crowns
Also called caps, crowns are natural-looking
covers that fit snugly over teeth to conceal
cracked, badly discolored, injured, or chipped
teeth. Crowns minimize physical discomfort
and provide support for damaged teeth. We
use only high-quality porcelain crowns for
optimal results. Ultimately, crowns can
improve the overall appearance of your smile
while making your teeth more resistant to
injury. For more information about crowns,
please contact us today.
Bridges
At Fort Worth Dental, we offer high-quality,
natural-looking porcelain bridges to fill
gaps left by missing teeth. Bridges are
not only cosmetic. They also serve to correct
speaking and chewing problems, and increase
strength when biting. Bridges replace missing
teeth in a manner that functions comfortably
and looks completely natural. To find out
if bridges are a good option for you, please
contact us today.
Tooth-colored Fillings
Gone are the days when tooth ailments and
cavities could only be treated with unsightly
silver, amalgam fillings. Today, modern,
tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin
or porcelain can be bonded to your teeth
for a stronger, more natural-looking effect.
These revolutionary fillings are virtually
undetectable and are easy to apply. To find
out if tooth-colored fillings are a good
option for you, contact Fort Worth Dental
today.
Preventative
Care
Twice-daily brushings and regular flossing
are excellent for maintenance between office
visits, but a healthy mouth and beautiful
smile require routine preventative care
by a dental professional. Our practice offers
complete preventative care, including fluoride
treatment, professional breath control,
and periodontal (gum disease) treatments
designed to help you maintain your smile’s
health and beauty. Keep your teeth and gums
strong and disease-free. Contact our office
today to schedule a cleaning or consultation.
Family
Dentistry
Kids want to be comfortable, entertained,
and respected. Adolescents want procedures
that are quick and painless. Adults want
the best technology, the most informed doctors,
and the highest quality care. We understand
the differing needs and priorities of families.
Our experience working with people of all
ages is extensive, and we strive to make
the dental experience more enjoyable for
each family member. We know how you feel—we
have families, too! We provide routine general
and preventive dental care, periodontal
(gum disease) treatments designed to help
you maintain your smile’s health and
beauty, and we perform a wide spectrum of
dental procedures for the entire family.

procedures we offer, please contact us today.
Endodontics
– Root Canals
Each tooth contains a long, thin strand
of dental pulp—which provides the
tooth with nutrients and nerves—that
extends down to the tooth’s root.
If the pulp becomes infected or injured,
the tooth’s nerves die and often,
without endodontic treatment, the tooth
dies as well. Root canals are designed to
save such damaged teeth. During the procedure
(performed under anesthesia), a gap is drilled
into the tooth’s crown and pulp chamber,
diseased pulp is reshaped or removed, and
the tooth is permanently sealed with a gold,
porcelain, or tooth-colored crown. To learn
more about root canals, please contact us
today.
Periodontics
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more
than just an unsightly smile—it can
cause loss of teeth and eventually, if left
untreated, serious health problems. Called
gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal
disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria
(found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s
soft tissues. Early warning signs of this
disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums.
If caught early, we can help you reverse
the damage. If detected late, we can use
one of many effective cosmetic dentistry
procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy,
beautiful state. Let Dr. Mund and Dr. Zang
help you keep your teeth and gums strong
and disease-free with regular examinations
and cleanings. Please contact our office
today to schedule an appointment.
Extractions
The last resort when it comes to dental
procedures, tooth extraction is only done
in the most extreme cases. However, when
necessary, we may extract a tooth in preparation
for a restorative dental procedure like
dentures or a dental implant. When a tooth’s
roots are too severely damaged for the tooth
to be repaired, extraction may be the appropriate
choice. We understand that the loss of a
tooth can be unwelcome and uncomfortable,
and we do everything in our power to make
sure the procedure is performed as quickly
and painlessly as possible. Remedying an
unsalvageable tooth through extraction means
the end of living with an extremely painful
tooth. If you think you may need a tooth
extracted, please contact us today.
Swissedent
Premium Dentures
In the field of denture teeth,
excellence goes unnoticed. Quality teeth
appear so natural that nobody will ever
suspect your wear artificial teeth.
Swissedent teeth are the most
natural you can get because they are designed
to complement your personality, age, gender,
and physical appearance. Look closely at
someone's natural teeth and you will see
that even the best looking teeth are not
perfect. They have subtle characteristics
and color variations that make them look
real. Also, natural teeth change throughout
a person's life. The color and shape are
different at age 50 than they were at age
20. Men's teeth are different from women's
teeth. They're larger and generally more
sharply contoured. The shape and size of
natural teeth also vary with one's physical
appearance – from delicate to robust.
These characteristics are
very subtle, and they are often overlooked
in making ordinary dentures. Only Swissedent
teeth are designed to reflect the many variations
of sex, age, and personal appearance. Therefore,
only Swissedent teeth can match those characteristics
that make you an individual.
Swissedent teeth are manufactured
in limited quantities with the same world-renowned
dedication to quality that has been the
hallmark of Swiss products for hundreds
of years. These premium teeth have been
imported and distributed in the United States
and Canada exclusively by Swissedent Corporation
for over 35 years. Clinical and laboratory
procedures for prescribing and using Swissedent
teeth are developed, refined, and published
by the Swissedent Foundation.

Orthodontics,
Including Invisalign
Straight teeth are important for both health
and appearance. Not only do we have traditional
metal braces, but we also offer newer, less
noticeable varieties such as clear braces.
We also proudly offer Invisalign, the latest
advancement in orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign
is a revolutionary way to help you get even,
straight teeth without noticeable, painful
metal braces. Virtually undetectable, Invisalign
aligners are made of strong, clear plastic
that gradually guides your teeth into perfect
alignment. Unlike metal braces, they have
no wires or brackets on which your lips
or gums can snag.
During your first evaluation,
your dentist will help you determine if
Invisalign is a good option for you. He
will then design a treatment plan and take
tooth impressions, from which Invisalign
will develop accurate, personalized tooth-straightening
devices, called aligners. Aligners slide
directly over your teeth and are replaced
every two weeks as your teeth shift into
place. Depending on your case, you will
wear them full-time (except when eating
or drinking) for 12 to 48 months—no
longer than you would wear traditional metal
braces—and see your orthodontist about
every six weeks for check-ups. To learn
more about Invisalign and our other orthodontic
options, please contact us today.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Around our late teens or early twenties,
our wisdom teeth (or third molars) begin
to arrive. In many cases, however, the jaw
is not large enough to accommodate the extra
teeth and they become impacted, remaining
under the gum. Impacted teeth can cause
several further complications including
infection, crowding, damage to adjacent
teeth, cysts, and others. It is usually
much easier to remove wisdom teeth and impacted
teeth before complications arise. Our dentists
follows patients' teeth growth to predict
the arrival of wisdom teeth. When they begin
to arrive, he will discuss your options
for removal.
After surgery, patients can
expect varying levels of swelling and discomfort.
Dr. Mund and Dr. Zang will do everything
possible to minimize pain and recovery time.
If you or your child is expecting the arrival
of wisdom teeth, contact our office to schedule
an appointment today.
Oral
Sedation
Oral sedation has become a popular choice
for patients who experience anxiety over
dental care. Patients can undergo hours
of treatment in a single session with no
pain, and virtually no memory of the treatment.
You are conscious during the procedure,
but in a state of fully relaxed sedation.
We have staff members dedicated to monitoring
your status during the procedure to ensure
total safety. While a staff member will
be with you throughout your visit at Fort
Worth Dental, you will need someone to drive
you to and from the office. Our dentist
will discuss sedation dentistry with you
to decide if it is the best option for your
personal needs.
